2. Expense - Laptop computers cost almost twice as much as comparably equipped desktops. Shocking isn't it?  But the price of laptops has come down dramatically.

3. Speed - Laptops are 30-100% slower than a desktop with the same features (CPU, RAM, hard drive capacity, etc.). Slower CPUs, motherboards, hard drives, and video systems all contribute to the speed loss.  But the differences are blurring with each passing day.

A very good way to save money and still have technology needs met is to consider purchasing discount laptops. Generally, these are older machines that are refurbished or have been returned to the manufacturer to be rebuilt. This allows the equipment to be put on the retail market at a lower price.  Refurbished discount laptop computers can be just as reliable as new equipment. In many cases, bad components have already been identified and then replaced in the refurbished discount laptop computers. Therefore, as is often the case, purchasing a refurbished equipment can help save money and become a smart choice.  Many well-known and name brand companies offer discount laptop computers along with desktop equipment. Often, the machines have been returned to the company within the 30-day return period with nothing wrong. This will result in name brand companies offering these new, but unused machines at very low prices.

Plenty of discounts are out there and there is no reason to pay too much for your laptop. After all, lots of companies offer quality discount laptop computers, no strings attached, because they simply want to lure customers who might become lifetime patrons, upgrading their computer with that company over the years.
